- Windows equivalents
Snow Leopard introduces more speed and efficiency for the software we use and does so within the intuitive interface mac users expect. Snow Leopard is generally faster than Leopard, reclaims disk space, supports Exchange, and most applications run in 64-bit mode (handling large amounts of random access memory - RAM - more effectively than 32-bit).
Many of the images and videos made to illustrate actions for Snow Leopard might look very different from your screen. Click the filmstrip icon: for a video explaining those differences.
For long-time Windows users making the switch, check out ways to perform common Windows actions on your new Mac in the "Windows Equivalents" tab.
